Welcome to my webpage! Before coming to Hermosa Beach I taught kindergarten, fourth, and sixth grades. In 1996 I started teaching third grade in Hermosa Valley and quickly discovered Hermosa Beach is the best place to work! There are so many great families I have met throughout the years. From 2003-2006 I taught fifth grade, which was a wonderful experience. From 2006-2008 I taught fourth grade, and currently I am teaching a fourth and fifth grade combination class.
When I'm not teaching I like to work in the yard. My husband and I have just planted California natives in our garden. There is also a California native garden outside my classroom planted by the students.
Traveling is also something I enjoy very much. Last summer I traveled to Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. There are pictures of my vacation to China on this website. To see photos of my vacation click on "pictures" on the left hand side.
Other activities I also enjoy are yoga, reading, and spending time with my husband and two sons.
